Approximately two to three
weeks after receiving your citation, you may
receive a courtesy notice from the court in the mail.
This notice will tell you if you are eligible to attend
traffic school and have your ticket dismissed. Traffic
school eligibility will be determined by California
Rules of Court, rule 4.104. If you are eligible and
decide not to attend traffic school, your automobile
insurance, as well as other areas, may be adversely
affected. Do not
attend traffic school unless your courtesy notice tells
you that you are eligible to attend.
