Eligibility to Attend Nevada County Traffic School:
To reduce the chances of your auto insurance rates being
adversely affected by this citation, you may wish to request to
attend traffic school. First you must meet the court's
traffic school eligibility requirements. If eligible, you make
the request to participate in traffic school by signing the back
of your courtesy notice and paying the amount of the citation
plus an administrative fee to the Court either in person or by
mail. The full amount of fine and court fees must be paid at
that time. Once the Court receives this payment, your citation
due date will be extended by sixty days to allow you time to
attend traffic school.
Please note that InterActive! Traffic School is
independent of the Court and will charge you a separate tuition
fee. Any questions you have concerning the costs or procedures
must be directed to the InterActive! Traffic School.
Upon completing traffic school, the InterActive Traffic School will issue a traffic
school certificate of completion. You are required to return the
original copy of the traffic school certificate to the court by
the due date. If you fail to this, a bail forfeiture disposition
(which is the same as a conviction) will be sent to the
Department of Motor Vehicles. This could have a negative effect
on your insurance.
